Salary Expert: Jokic is expected to sign a three-year, $212 million new contract with a starting salary of 65.5 million

ESPN salary expert Bobby Marks wrote an article about issues related to Nuggets star Jokic's future contract.

Marks wrote: "It will be a priority when superstars like Jokic are eligible to sign a new contract."

"The Nuggets and Jokic can immediately reach a three-year, $212.2 million contract extension immediately after the Finals. The first year of this new contract is $65.5 million, replacing his 2027-28 player option and ensuring Jokic stays in Denver until the 2029-30 season."

"This season, Jokic ranked in the top three in three statistics: score, rebounds and assists. According to ESPN research, he is the first player to rank in the top three in all three since the rebounds began in the 1950-51 season."
