Bayern official: CFO Didrich resigned from the board of directors on September 30 this year
Didrich, 59, has served as a member of the board of directors since April 1, 2023 and has been a member of the board of supervisors since 2018. The contract of its deputy CEO was originally scheduled to expire on June 30, 2026.
Club Chairman and Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Heiner said: "After a candid and constructive discussion, Michael Diedrich told us that he will not renew his contract with Bayern Munich. We wish Michael all the best in the future and sincerely thank him for his great contribution to the club and the successful time we have spent together at Bayern. He has launched many projects, brought many new ideas, and established an important partnership for Bayern's future success."
Michael -Didrich: "After two years of intense and successful term of the board of directors of Bayern Munich, I decided to face a new career challenge. I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for their trust and the friendly cooperation between my colleagues Jan Christian Dresen and Max Eber. Even after my departure, Bayern Munich will remain my beloved club."
CEO Jan Christian Dresen and Sports Director Max Eber will continue to perform their board duties until further notice. Bayern Munich will announce Michael Diedrich's successor and the board's future assignments in due course.
