In February this year, you were loaned to Villarreal by Inter Milan. You played 13 times in La Liga, scored 1 goal and assisted 2 times

I just wanted to play more games, and then I was loaned. I think this was a very successful loan because I regained the joy of playing football. Yes, this helped me get back to the familiar way of playing and I was very happy with my current position. I just need to continue to do my best, keep working hard and help the Canadian national team. Obviously, when I get back to the club, I will work hard too.

Yes, I think everything you said is perfect. I think that's one of the main reasons why I want to play in the Golden Cup, I came here just after the La Liga season, you know I played a lot of games. And I think I can play more games in the Golden Cup, and of course the training camp for our national team. So I think it's a choice for me.

So you gave up the opportunity to represent Inter Milan in the Club World Cup and chose to participate in the Golden Cup?

When Canadian national team coach Marsh asked me if I would participate in the Club World Cup or the Golden Cup, representing Canada in the Golden Cup was a natural choice for me. I am in good shape at the moment, and I hope to continue to work hard and constantly improve my level.
