Marca: Leverkusen discusses hiring Real Madrid legend Raul as one of three candidates
According to Marca, Raul is one of the candidates for Leverkusen's new coach.
Tenhach was fired after coaching Leverkusen for just three games. Since last Sunday, Leverkusen executives have been looking for a replacement and decided to make it in the last few days of the week.
Currently, Leverkusen is considering three candidates, one of which is Raul, who has been put on the table and has been discussed in many meetings of the senior management of the Leverkusen club and sports management.
In addition to Raul, candidates include former Dortmund coach Terzic and former Leipzig coach Roze. Leverkusen has not made a final decision yet, as this week is an international match day, giving the club more time to carefully evaluate the situation and avoid repeating the mistakes of hiring Tenghach.
Raul knows a lot about the Bundesliga because he played for Schalke 04. The former Castilla coach enjoys a high reputation in Germany and several teams have invited him to coach, but none of them meet his ideal offer.
It should be noted that Raul's coaching experience has been accumulated in Real Madrid. He once led the Real Madrid youth team to win the club's only youth Champions League championship.
