Matuidi: David and Muani can form a super partner, Irdiz impressed me
A few days ago, former Juventus midfielder Matuidi was interviewed by Turin Sports and talked about Juventus now.
From Muani to Kevren Toulam, and then to Kalulu, how do you feel when you see this French-style Juventus?
"I'm very happy. But the history of the club tells us that there has always been a small French corps in the roster. I had the chance to meet them during the Club World Cup, and everyone was excited to be able to play for Juventus."
By the way, Kevren Toulam broke a record this year and became the first French midfielder to score at least four goals in his debut season in his Juventus jersey.
"Kevren Toulam is an indispensable member of Juventus. On the court, he has proved that the club is right to bet on him. But he is still young, so he must continue to work hard to improve himself. He is in the perfect environment to do so."
Then what do you think of Muani? Juventus is trying his best to buy him out. If you were him, would you stay at Juventus?
"Absolutely. He plays on a team that gives him a chance to improve standards every day. I hope he stays and helps the club win some trophys. Now Jonathan David is here too. I don't know what the coach thinks, but I think he and Muani can form a super partner. In my opinion, they are two complementary players types."
You can't forget Ilditz
"A crazy player. I've followed him on TV this year , but watching him play football in the Club World Cup is another matter. His way of touching the ball and his way of controlling his opponents really impressed me. He is a symbol of a young team that takes the necessary time to return to the top. I understand that Juventus needs to win immediately. But I think the path I take is the right one. Many of these young people will become champions, and I believe it. "
Don't you think Juventus may need some experienced veterans to help young people grow? Many people are talking about Zhaka these days. Will you sign him?
"I don't know how the club wants to operate in the transfer market. What I can say is that Zachar's arrival will certainly not be a bad thing. He is an excellent player and has achieved remarkable results in international competitions. His experience will be useful."
Do you think it's too early to compete for the Serie A championship after proper reinforcement?
"The lineup is strong, so I think they can try to fight for the championship."
Your Juventus team is only Pinsolio, Rugani and Palin. What do you think of the departure of captain Danilo in January?
"I don't know what happened, but this choice must be respected. Danilo has spent a great few years at Juventus. I think the club just wants to start a new cycle."
Then what do you think of General Manager Comoli?
"I worked with him during his time in Saint-Etienne. He knew football and lived in football 24 hours. When he came to us, he had important experience, especially in the Premier League. He had a vision and knew how to touch the key points, so I believe he would accomplish great things at Juventus. When I learned that ownership would choose him, I was very happy that he was the right person to start again."
Finally, I would like to ask you what you think of the Pogba incident. I think you should contact us frequently lately.
"I am very happy that he was able to start over in Monaco. He went through a difficult period. When I met him again in the United States, I had the opportunity to feel his spiritual strength. He missed football so much, and I think football missed him very much. I am sure he will accomplish great things in Ligue 1."
