The goal is to play in the World Cup next year! RMC: Monaco midfielder Pogba has officially joined the joint training

According to RMC reports, Monaco midfielder Pogba has officially joined the team for training. After the injury delayed his return plan originally scheduled for early October, Monaco coach Poconioli confirmed on Tuesday that Pogba had officially returned to the team's collective training on Monday.

Poconoli revealed that this is the first time Pogba has participated in joint training since he took office: "He is smiling, enjoying it very much, and interacting with his teammates. This is the first step. This stage may take a few days, or two to three weeks, and then we can look for performance and continuity on this basis."

The report pointed out that the last time Pogba participated in an official game was in the summer of 2023. After his drug suspension ended in March 2025, his road to comeback has not been smooth. The most recent time was a "right thigh quadriceps muscle problem" during the international match in October.

The team is very cautious about his return. A fitness coach mentioned "Abu Diaby Syndrome" and worried that Pogba, like Diaby, would not be able to return to his peak due to "physical weakness everywhere".

Despite the difficulties, Pogba's goal is still the 2026 World Cup. France coach Deschamps has never closed the door on him, although Pogba has not played for the French team since March 29, 2022. Deschamps said in November 2024: "I know him very well. He has that kind of mental strength and character. He will do everything he can to return to the best level."
