Curry: I feel more tired in training during the offseason now and want to stay high as I get older
Xiaoba interviewed Curry at the site at Curry's training camp today. During the interview, Curry talked about his changes in personal preparations before the season over the years.
How have you changed your personal preparations before the season over the years? What have you learned to do and what do you don’t need to do?
There are a lot of changes. From when I first started this training camp about ten years ago, to now, whether it is on the field, off-court work, or how to arrange the rhythm reasonably during the offseason, it has been completely different. I won't spend a lot of time training on the field now as before, but the training is more purposeful and targeted, and more data-driven, such as heart rate monitoring and footwork contacts, ensuring that all the movements and technical training related to my competition are completed. There is more information, but training is still hard and even more tired, which is fun because you have to reach this intensity to stay high while getting older.
Summer has passed several months now, how long is it before training camp?
I feel good, we have about six weeks left, so I will arrange the pace reasonably and be ready to end this summer strongly. I will be proud when Media Day comes.
