Zero appearances so far! The head coach has had multiple conversations with Bryce about sitting out his freshman season at Sequoia.

SportsCenter NEXT reports that Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd has had "multiple conversations" with Bryce James about a possible redshirt season. (Note: A Redwood season can be roughly understood as a player taking a truce for a season, not counting this year. Taking Bryce as an example, if his freshman season is a Redwood season, he can play from his sophomore to his fifth year.)
Lloyd said: "We are protecting his opportunity to choose a redshirt. I hope that Bryce has the best college basketball career and has the most options in the long run, no matter what that looks like."
Lloyd also told the NCAA He was dissatisfied with the eligibility rules that forced him to keep Bryce off the court: "If you let Bryce play three minutes in a game like this, it is equivalent to depleting a year of eligibility. I hope this can be simpler. I hope there are regulations like football that limit the number of games a player can play."
Football players can play up to four games while maintaining redshirt eligibility, but basketball is different. Playing even one minute will consume the entire season's eligibility.
