Monaco general manager: Pogba s return will be delayed by another two weeks, but it s not the end of the world
Monaco Club general manager Thiago Scurro said that Pogba's return will be postponed for another two weeks.
French midfielder Pogba joined Monaco on a free basis this summer. He had been training to recover. Monaco had previously planned to make Pogba's debut in Ligue 1 this weekend, but Pogba suffered a new injury to his right thigh last week. Although the injury was not serious, Pogba's return to the game was postponed again.
Thiago Scurro said: "Pogba encountered a small problem last week, which means that we need at least more than two weeks for him to be ready. This is the first negative incident we have encountered since we started this comeback process with him. For a player who has not played for a long time, this situation is possible. But this is possible. It’s not the end of the world, it’s just that we postponed the time for two weeks in order to prepare him best. We hope that he will be able to participate in the game soon.”
Therefore, Pogba will at least miss Monaco’s next games against Angers, Tottenham, and Toulouse, and may not be able to return until Monaco’s away game against Nantes on October 30.
