Reporter: Oponda’s buyout clause has nothing to do with relegation or appearances, it depends on whether Juventus can rank in the top ten

According to reporter Orazio Accomando, Oponda's buyout clause is related to whether Juventus enters the top ten in the league.

Oponda joined Juventus on loan from Leipzig this season. The agreement contains a conditional mandatory buyout clause with a buyout fee of approximately 42 million euros.

Previously, some media said that Juventus must buy out Oponda as long as they are not relegated this season, but Orazio Accomando revealed that this clause is not linked to relegation or the number of appearances, but depends on whether Juventus can rank in the top ten of the Serie A standings.

Oponda has played in 7 games since joining Juventus and has yet to score a goal.
