World Sports: The number of La Liga attendees hit a new high in the 2024-25 season, reaching 11.4 million

According to World Sports News, the total number of La Liga attendees in the 2024-25 season reached 11.4 million, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year. In the Spanish Second Division, a total of 6121,143 fans were attracted to watch the game on the spot last season, with an average of nearly 300,000 spectators per game day in 42 rounds.

The hottest game in La Liga last season was the national derby held at the Bernabeu Stadium on October 26, with a total of 78,192 spectators watching Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Real Madrid. The average attendance rate of La Liga teams was 82% throughout the season. In terms of the team, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid both attracted more than 1 million viewers, 1.38 million and 1.156 million respectively. Betis and Athletic Bilbao also exceeded 900,000, while Barcelona's total audience was 874,098.

In contrast, Getafe, Girona and Leganes had a smaller audience of 217,822, 213,766 and 211,563 respectively, mainly due to their smaller stadium capacity.

The number of spectators in the Spanish Second Division last season also increased to 6.12 million, a year-on-year increase of 26%. Among them, Malaga had the largest number of spectators, attracting 521,992 fans; Real Oviedo's match against Cadiz attracted the largest number of spectators, totaling 29,418 people; Cartagena's match against Tenerife was only 1,708 spectators.
